There's an age old bit about writing and drinking. But for years I've noticed that I have a different twist on the experience. I find that I'm at my best when I'm hungover. I can only attribute this to a dulling down of brain activity. That is: my brain and body are so beat up that it takes all of my energy to achieve the task at hand- and that has to be only one task at a time, rather than my usual frenetic, thoughts pulling in every direction at once method of operation.

Hangovers are my ADD medicine.
